Established in 1991 to provide substantial merit-based awards for women of the U.S. and Canada who are pursuing a doctoral-level degree at an accredited college or university.

Did You Know?

Since 1991, PSA has awarded $36.7 million to 2,935 women (as of June 2024). For the 2024/2025 academic year, 109 scholarships were awarded, 3 of which were nominated by GA chapters.

  • GA Chapters contributed $21,413 directly to PSA
  • Chapters A, Atlanta, N, Atlanta and U, Athens nominated 3 candidates during 2023/2024 that received PSA scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year.  
  • The following 14 chapters sponsored 20 nominees for the 2025-2026 academic year.  The final recipient list will be available after awardees have accepted their scholarship and enrolled in school.
