A SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

 

ABOUT

P.E.O. International is a US-based international women’s organization of over 185,000 members, with a focus on providing education opportunities to women.

The Georgia P.E.O. Scholarship was founded in 1970.  There are currently 45 different scholarship funds administered by the Georgia P.E.O. Scholarship Committee. To date, 963 scholarships have been awarded totaling $963,890. Scholarships range from $1000-$3,400 and are rubrically scored based on financial barriers to education, written essay, work experience, extracurricular activities, and academic performance.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Attend college/university in U.S. or Canada
  • Citizen or legal permanent resident U.S. or Canada
  • Residency in the state of Georgia
  • Minimum unweighted GPA 3.25
  • Planning to enroll or currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with at least 1 year of study remaining

  • Interviewed by local Georgia P.E.O. chapter
  • Complete online application
  • Submit essay
  • Upload Trascript

Georgia P.E.O. chapter:

  • Interviews student
  • Completes online Recommendation form
